Val Harris - SVP, Product Development & Design

Val Harris is senior vice president of product development and design at JCPenney. She is responsible for driving the success of the Company's industry-leading private and exclusive brands, overseeing brand development, trend and design. Harris joined the Company in 1978 as a sales associate in Chicago, where she discovered her passion for retail and customer service. With over 35 years of retail experience at JCPenney, she has held merchandise positions of increasing responsibility in stores and at the Home Office including vice president of product development services and divisional vice president of product development and design. Most recently, Harris served as vice president of product development, design and trend for women's apparel, intimates and accessories. Harris holds a Bachelor's degree in marketing from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois.
